Bikes & Music, a Chicagoland 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation, needs urgent help obtaining 125 bicycles by June 1st. The bicycles will serve as primary transportation for Chicago area teens to get to school and work.
“The need for bicycle donations has never been greater,” says Bikes & Music co-founder Ryan Gable. “Many of these families are refugees from places like Afghanistan and Ukraine. They are attending school and holding down jobs and having their own bicycles for personal transportation would be a tremendous help.”

Bikes & Music is partnering with two great causes for their Spring Bike Drive.
• Refugee One, a resettlement agency in Chicago that serves incoming refugees to the Chicagoland area.
• Home of the Sparrow which support that empowers women and children as they journey from homelessness to self-sufficiency.

“We have a verified waiting list of over 100 people, including children of all ages,” says Gable. “Our goal is to collect, fix and distribute 125 bikes by June 1st. Anyone who has a used bicycle to donate should contact us online at www.BikesAndMusic.org/Donate or email info@bikesandmusic.org. We will arrange pick-up of bicycle donations, and we will handle any needed repairs.”
Cash donations are also welcome and appreciated. For more information about Bikes & Music, visit www.bikesandmusic.org. For more information about Refugee One, visit www.refugeeone.org and for Home of the Sparrow, visit https://www.hosparrow.org.
