Bikes & Music Instrument Drive – Friday, October 10th

Join us on Friday, October 10, from 12–4 PM at The Music Room in Palatine as we collect gently used instruments to support local schools.

We’re accepting acoustic & electric guitars, amps, and concert band instruments (woodwinds, brass, percussion). Every donation gives an instrument a second life in the hands of students who need it most.

This year’s drive will benefit:

  • John H. Vanderpoel Humanities Academy (CPS): After launching a drumline with last year’s donations, Vanderpoel is now working to start a full concert band.

  • Elk Grove High School Raíces Guitar Club: Founded in 2024, this student group has already performed more than 15 times and was featured on NBC Chicago and Telemundo. They need guitars and amps so students can keep performing without relying on borrowed instruments.

  • Hamilton Fine & Performing Arts School (CPS): Building on an established music program, Hamilton is looking to add more guitars to give more students the chance to play.

Together, we can put instruments into the hands of young musicians and help these programs grow.
